Become a Vendor

The spirit of Microcosm is one in which those attending can obtain goods or services that aid in the establishment and maintenance of vivariums, terrariums and aquariums for the purposes of personal enjoyment, education or conservation; compliment captive breeding and management of plants and animals; and emphasize natural species and species conservation rather than artifical selection or genetic manipulation.

Microcosm Rules and Regulations:

·         Vendor/exhibitor tables are 6 feet long. Table covers and skirts will not be provided, so you will need to bring a covering or cloth for your table. Spaces will be given on a first come/first served basis. Your booth space will be held upon our reception of a completed application, signed waiver, and all costs paid in full. ALL tables, including additional tables, must be paid for before the show.  Up to 2 separate vendors per table will be allowed.

·         Set up: vendors will be allowed to access to the convention hall on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. Please have your booth set up completely by the time we open the doors to the general public at 10:00 a.m.

·         Receipts: To protect vendors and their plants/animals/supplies, receipt books will be required.

·         Times: The vendorshow is a one-day event, ending at 4:00 p.m. Vendors are required to keep their table/booth open until that time. Upon closing, all vendors will be required to clean up their table space and must be out of the exhibition hall by 6:00 p.m.

·         Refund PolicyTable spaces are refundable up to 30 days before the show.

·         No outside animals or products for sale are allowed in the show. Only paid vendors may sell their products and animals. Do not ask a customer to bring in plants, animals, and/or goods for trade—they must be met outside the venue. If you see a non-vendor selling frogs they have brought into the show, please let us know and they will be asked to leave.

·         Captive-bred plants and animals only: Because Microcosm celebrates the tradition of glass box hobbies and captive husbandry, all plants and animals offered by vendors must be captive-bred only. All animals must be housed appropriately, humanely, and kept contained throughout the duration of the show.
