Embassy Suites Seattle - North  |  Lynnwood, WA

2 A jewel-like poison dart frog moves across the dappled forest floor of the Peruvian rainforest...

A gecko basks on the gnarled branch of an ancient tree in New Caledonia...

A luxuriant spray of orchid flowers ignites the canopy of an Ecuadorian cloud forest...

A pair of killifish, each barely an inch in length, court within the shallows of a seasonal puddle in West Africa...

And you, in your living room, surrounded by the beauty and wonder of it all.

Tree Walkers International (TWI) is proud to present MICROCOSM, a celebration of the beauty and uniqueness of ecosystems in naturalistic vivariums and aquariums.  MICROCOSM is a new kind of event that brings together enthusiasts from a wide variety of interests in order to celebrate the wonder and uniqueness of ecosystems through the keeping of naturalistic terrariums and aquariums.

The theme of MICROCOSM is conservation.  Just as species combine to form healthy, functioning ecosystems, Microcosm seeks to form a coalition of partners who apply their skills in cooperation to safeguard the planet's biodiversity.

The two-day event includes lectures, excursion opportunities, workshops, a vendor sale (featuring a menageris of plants, animals and supplies) and a live auction.  All proceeds benefit Tree Walkers International to support amphibian conservation efforts.  For more information about TWI and its projects, visit www.treewalkers.org.
